Studies in agriculture are divided into two areas – transfer and career with degrees offered in each. The curriculum of these areas is designed to meet the needs of a diverse student population.

If you are planning to transfer to a university, the ag transfer area, which includes ag classes as well as general education courses, we will help you meet the class requirements for the initial two years of a bachelor’s degree. Students often discover that the smaller class sizes and more student/teacher interaction found at Black Hawk College make for a smoother transition into college life.Students that plan on obtaining a two-year degree and entering the ag industry immediately following college often enter one of the career programs. These areas focus on traditional classroom and lab settings coupled with internships in the agriculture industry.Regardless of your personal goals in agriculture, Black Hawk College – East Campus has the potential to build a strong foundation for endless job opportunities.
