Practical Nursing (LPN)
The Practical Nursing (LPN) program is designed to prepare students for direct patient care and perform skilled tasks under the direction of a doctor or registered nurse. LPNs work in hospitals, nursing homes, physician offices, clinics and community agencies. Beginning yearly salaries for graduates employed locally $30,000-$36,000. The PN program is approved by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
Associate Degree Nursing (RN)
The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program is designed to prepare nurses who, as beginning practitioners, are able to give quality nursing care to patients and function as members of nursing and health teams. Upon completion of the program, a graduate may be eligible to take the examination for licensure as a registered nurse. The curriculum for nursing is career-oriented. The program is approved by the Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulation and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Beginning yearly salaries for graduates employed locally $40,000-$52,000.
Currently, we have a full class for the Associate Degree Nursing program. We are still accepting applications until June 1, 2020. Applications will be reviewed individually.
