Registration for PaCE Classes

PaCE provides easy registration and is conveniently located at the Black Hawk College Outreach Center. The center offers convenient student parking and is served by MetroLINK, the Quad-Cities’ mass transit system. Students may register online or by phone, fax and mail or in person at the Outreach Center.

FlexReg for PaCE facts:

  • FlexReg is used for Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE) registration only.
  • You can access FlexReg using the following browsers: Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
  • Adobe Flash Player is required to use FlexReg.
  • You can use FlexReg to register for all PaCE classes except online classes provided through third-party vendors.

Logging in:

  • You are not required to log in or be a current BHC student to search our schedule of classes.
  • If you have ever registered for BHC classes (credit/non-credit) you have a username and password.
  • If you have never taken a class at BHC you will create an account during the registration process.


  • Payment by credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover) or e-checks is required. No other payment types can be used at this time.
  • A surcharge fee will be applied to your payment. This fee is noted on the payment page in FlexReg.
  • Credit/debit cards and e-check accounts are charged only upon completion of registration.
  • If you do not pay at time of registration your class(es) will be dropped.
  • For your security, all registrations are processed electronically and confirmed by email.

Refund/cancellation policy:
To receive a full refund, you must call 309-796-8223 at least one (1) business day (24 hours) prior to the start of the course.  No refund will be given after the start of a class. If you registered and paid for a class online, your credit card will still be charged the surcharge fee as mentioned above.

If a class is canceled by Black Hawk College’s PaCE Department, you will receive a full refund unless you registered and paid online. Your credit/debit card will still be charged the surcharge fee as mentioned above. Non-credit classes are self-supporting and course-related expenses are paid from student registration fees. Courses that do not meet a minimum student enrollment are subject to cancellation. If that should happen, every effort will be made to notify you. We will attempt to transfer you to another class, find an alternate class, or offer a refund.

  • Enrollment is open to anyone 16 years of age or older unless otherwise indicated in the description.
  • Under certain circumstances a student 15 years of age or younger may enroll with special permission from the instructor.

Services for students with disabilities

Grading policy

The following grading system is administered for those wishing a grade judgment: A-D, X – No Grade Judgment, P – Pass, F – Fail.
