Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for all need-based financial aid. This includes federal and state grants, loans and work-study.
Black Hawk College Federal School Code: 001638
You can file your FAFSA as early as Oct. 1 every year.
Earlier income and tax information
Beginning with the 2017-18 FAFSA, students will be required to report tax information from an earlier tax year. For example, on the 2017-18 FAFSA, you – and your parent(s), as appropriate – will report your 2015 tax information, rather than your 2016 tax information.
MAP cut off deadlines
You may need to complete your FAFSA by mid-November to be awarded the Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP). Funds are limited.
How can I get help with the FAFSA?
