Online Learning

Black Hawk College offers a variety of online courses, including accounting, anthropology, biology, business, child development, computer science, economics, English, math, sociology and speech.

You can mix and match – take some courses on campus and some online.

Are online classes right for me?

If you’re self-motivated, self-disciplined and ready for a challenge, take advantage of our online classes. Online courses are highly structured and involve frequent interactions with your instructor and classmates. They are challenging and not an easier version of a face-to-face class. You don’t need a high level of computer skills, but you should have some experience navigating the Internet and using email.

Benefits of online classes

You don’t have to leave home to go to class.

Regardless of where you live, you’ll pay the in-district tuition for online classes.

Online classes are offered every semester, including summer and minimester.

The registration process is the same as other courses. The Schedule of Classes indicates the many courses available online as well as other details. Contact Advising to learn more.
