Wear colorful, mismatched socks 3/21 to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day!

Individuals with Down syndrome have three copies of the 21st chromosome. That’s why we celebrate on 3/21!

Why socks?

Socks are a fun way to show your support for individuals with Down syndrome! Mismatched socks celebrate uniqueness, plus chromosomes look like socks!

Information booth

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Building 1, lower lobby

• Learn about Down syndrome and GiGi’s Playhouse.
• Enjoy refreshments, giveaways (including mismatched socks) and more!

Sock Hop

1-2 p.m.
Building 1, courtyard (weather permitting)
Alternate location – Building 1, lower lobby

• Learn some dance moves and show off your socks!

Open house

3:21-6 p.m.
GiGi’s Playhouse, 3906 38th Ave., Moline

• Visit the Playhouse.
• Learn about free programs for individuals with Down syndrome.
• Learn how you can get involved.
• Enjoy refreshments and WDSD goodies.
