About the judges

LaTisha Howlett

LaTisha Howlett co-owns Bayside Bistro with her husband, Darryl. She has been creating and cooking from scratch meals for Quad-City residents for more than 18 years. Howlett’s focus is on fueling the body to function at its optimal peak. She prefers to use fresh, whole full-flavored ingredients such as herbs, spices and produce when creating fresh menu ideas.

Leo Kaalburg

Leo Kaalburg of Out to Eat with Leo is just a man on a course to write about it all. Maybe enjoy a few meals with his friends in food here and there. Maybe do some good, kinda like Kung Fu with David Carradine, just less karate and more tacos.

K.C. Ross (Chef Keys)

K.C. Ross, more affectionately known as Chef Keys, is a New York City transplant thriving to make a difference in the Quad Cities. She is a former law enforcement officer who dedicated her efforts in the community and food since adolescence. Her culinary background consists of working in restaurants, hospitality and health care. She has catered independent events and collaborations and has created a niche social media following. Ross has pivoted from law enforcement to further her career by combining several typically independent paths. She is currently working in content production while showcasing different cultures through food and travel.
