A wintery blue-and-white scene of people sledding through snowy woods won the 2023 Black Hawk College Foundation Holiday Card Contest.

“Gleefully Dashing” – a watercolor, colored pencil and white pen piece by Ryker O’Neil of East Moline – is gracing the cover of the foundation’s official holiday card for the 2023 holiday season.

O’Neil’s artwork was chosen from five BHC student entries. He received a $300 scholarship from the foundation to go toward tuition, books, supplies and fees for Spring 2024.
