About the presentation
Hear about Marcus Williams’ journey from a young aspiring artist to landing his first official art job working with Cartoon Network drawing the PowerPuff Girls! Learn how freelance illustration work shaped his initial career working with media giants like Marvel, Sony Pictures Animation, Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon and Amazon to name a few, but soon pushed him toward co-creating and publishing his very own comic series, “Tuskegee Heirs – Flames of Destiny.” Help create a brand new original character live as Williams draws on screen taking suggestions and incorporating them into the art.
Throughout this segment, Williams will highlight the powerful foundational basics of digital art tools (layers, undo/redo, resizing, coloring, etc.) as he encourages students with the confidence needed to make their own potential creative career path using their imaginations. His takeaway message is that all of us can make a living using our creativity, we simply have to fall in love with practice and learn how to make a business out of our passions.
