CANCELED – Annular Solar Eclipse Watch Party (East Campus)

Unfortunately, the Oct. 14 Solar Eclipse Watch Party has been canceled due to the weather forecast (up to 90% cloud coverage).
However, we encourage students and employees to stop by either campus library on Friday, Oct. 13 if you’d like to pick up a pair of eclipse glasses. 😎

Bring a lawn chair or blanket to watch in comfort.
A solar eclipse is when the moon blocks a little, a lot or all of the sun as seen from the Earth. An annular solar eclipse happens when the moon covers the sun’s center, leaving the sun’s visible outer edges to form a “ring of fire” or annulus around the moon.

- Maximum at 11:55 a.m.
- Ends at 1:21 p.m.
