BHC wins NACTA Judging Conference for 17th time
Congratulations to our East Campus students and coaches for winning the 2026 North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Judging Conference Sweepstakes Award!

The Associate in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to assist veterinarians in clinical settings. This comprehensive program covers a wide range of topics, including animal anatomy, pharmacology and diagnostic procedures. Through hands-on training and classroom instruction, students learn how to provide quality care to a variety of animals. Graduates of this program are well-prepared to pursue rewarding careers as veterinary technicians in veterinary clinics, research facilities and zoos. Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners!
New students applying to Black Hawk College should select the General Occupational and Technical Studies (GOTS) AAS until such time as they have been officially accepted by the department into this program.

Black Hawk College recently hosted the 8th Annual Welding Invitational at the college’s Welding and Skilled Trades Center in downtown Kewanee.
Agriculture has always been a huge part of Grace Angotti’s life, so having the opportunity to turn that passion into a career is something she doesn’t take for granted. Now she is a faculty member at the East Campus, where she teaches a variety of ag courses and coaches the Livestock Judging Team.
