The Veterinary Assisting Certificate program is a dynamic one-year journey designed to equip aspiring students with the necessary skills to support veterinarians and veterinary technicians effectively. Throughout the program, students engage in practical labs, exams, and hands-on clinical experiences to hone their proficiency in vital tasks. By completing this program, students emerge as valuable members of the veterinary health care team, ready to make a positive impact in the lives of animals and their human companions.

Black Hawk College recently hosted the 8th Annual Welding Invitational at the college’s Welding and Skilled Trades Center in downtown Kewanee.
Agriculture has always been a huge part of Grace Angotti’s life, so having the opportunity to turn that passion into a career is something she doesn’t take for granted. Now she is a faculty member at the East Campus, where she teaches a variety of ag courses and coaches the Livestock Judging Team.
