BHC wins NACTA Judging Conference for 17th time
Congratulations to our East Campus students and coaches for winning the 2026 North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Judging Conference Sweepstakes Award!
The horse judging team gives students the opportunity to refine skills in evaluating horse conformation, movement and performance across different disciplines. Competitions challenge members to rank horses within a class, defend their decisions through oral presentations, and gain a deeper appreciation for equine anatomy and behavior. Beyond sharpening technical knowledge, students develop strong public speaking, analytical, and teamwork abilities. Joining the team opens doors to hands-on learning, industry connections and career paths in equine training, management or veterinary fields.
Collegiate judging seasons runs from January to December. Members of the team start judging during the spring semester of their freshman year.
