The Art Technology Certificate program is a one-year immersive experience tailored for students and artists aiming to enhance their visual communication through a focus on technical skills and graphic design proficiency. Rooted in a solid foundation of drawing and design principles, the curriculum equips students with a diverse skill set and technical expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud software. Through hands-on experience with digital cameras, image manipulation, scanning and printing techniques, participants gain a comprehensive understanding of design processes. Ryker O’Neil chose Black Hawk College for its affordability and convenience, but his time on campus became a turning point. With support from faculty and hands-on experience in art and media, he is now preparing to transfer to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and pursue a career in the creative field.
Law Ger Htay found confidence and direction through Black Hawk College’s music program.
