As the conversation grows around allowing Illinois community colleges to offer applied bachelor’s degrees, Black Hawk College is ready to lead – and our region is poised to benefit.

Black Hawk College could offer select bachelor’s degrees under a proposed state initiative aimed at expanding access to four-year programs. College leaders say the focus would be on high-demand, workforce-driven fields not currently offered by universities, helping fill regional gaps while maintaining existing partnerships.
