A New Chapter After Military Service

After serving four years in the United States Marine Corps, Thomas Servantes Mayo enrolled at Black Hawk College to continue his path toward law enforcement. With support from faculty and hands-on internship experience, he built confidence, gained practical skills and prepared for the next chapter of his career.

‘Workforce driven’ community college looks forward to offering 4-year degrees

Black Hawk College could offer select bachelor’s degrees under a proposed state initiative aimed at expanding access to four-year programs.
