A new face of the Black Hawk College spirit is preparing to take flight, and we are asking students and employees to help give it a name!
As part of the college’s 80th Anniversary Celebration, we are launching a new mascot costume and official mascot program this fall. The mascot will represent the Black Hawk College Braves, but the college’s Braves name and logos are not changing.
After gathering preliminary feedback about the mascot’s personality, event presence and potential names, we narrowed the field to three finalists.
Current BHC students and employees are invited to review the name finalists and vote for their favorite. A valid bhc.edu email address is required to vote.
Voting is open Wednesday, Aug. 19 through Wednesday, Sept. 2.
The winning name will remain under wraps until the 80th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, Sept. 10 at the Quad-Cities Campus, where we will reveal the new mascot costume and announce its official name.
