2.25 transferring with under 60 credits. 2.0 if transferring with 60 or more credits.

Fall and spring semesters – applications are available July 1. Apply early for best consideration of acceptance, funding and housing choice.

Agreements & Special Programs

In-state Tuition

Starting fall 2025, new undergraduate students, including transfer students, from Iowa’s neighboring states — Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska & South Dakota — will pay in-state tuition when attending in-person classes at UNI. Students may also be eligible for additional scholarships based on academic achievement.

UNI’s online programs have their own reduced tuition structure applied to all students, regardless of residency.
