BHC wins NACTA Judging Conference for 17th time
Congratulations to our East Campus students and coaches for winning the 2026 North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Judging Conference Sweepstakes Award!
Students who complete the Agribusiness Management AAS can anticipate a high demand for their expertise in various agri-related industries like ag chemicals, feed, fertilizer, grain, seeds and related businesses. Opportunities will be plentiful in sales, operations and management roles. This program blends classroom learning, hands-on laboratory work and supervised real-world training to equip students for successful careers in the field. Key program highlights include knowledgeable instructors, practical on-the-job training throughout the program’s duration, customization options through elective courses, a valuable two-week summer session, a strategic fourth semester for securing full-time employment, and a curriculum rich in agriculture-focused courses.

Black Hawk College recently hosted the 8th Annual Welding Invitational at the college’s Welding and Skilled Trades Center in downtown Kewanee.
Agriculture has always been a huge part of Grace Angotti’s life, so having the opportunity to turn that passion into a career is something she doesn’t take for granted. Now she is a faculty member at the East Campus, where she teaches a variety of ag courses and coaches the Livestock Judging Team.
