The Industrial Training Lab Extension Center in Moline provides hands-on learning opportunities for welding and other skilled trades, helping students and area workers develop practical skills for today’s workforce.

The Welding and Skilled Trades Center in Kewanee offers welding, CDL and other trade courses.

Black Hawk College collaborates with Midwest Technical Institute (MTI) to facilitate the transfer of select MTI certificates toward Associate in Applied Science degrees in Health Information Management or General Occupational and Technical Studies. Graduates from MTI since October 2018 with certificates in Dental Assisting, Journeyman Welder, Journeyman Welder II, Medical Assisting, Medical Coding, Pharmacy Technician, or Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration are eligible for this partnership. Transfer guides and additional resources are available to assist in the transition.
