Become an ESL or GED Tutor

Black Hawk College’s Adult Literacy Program seeks volunteer tutors to provide one-on-one or group instruction in reading, writing and English language skills to adult learners enrolled in ESL and GED classes. Volunteers can choose convenient teaching times, with morning and evening slots available Monday through Friday, accommodating both working and retired individuals. The program offers specialized training, access to resource materials, and ongoing support to help tutors develop their instructional skills.
