The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) lets students earn Black Hawk College credit by demonstrating college-level knowledge gained outside the classroom. Credit is awarded per college policy to enrolled or former students; no grades are given, and transferability depends on the receiving institution.

Students with wide varieties of educational experience can convert this experience into college credit.

Black Hawk College participates by awarding credit based upon CLEP scores according to the established college policies.
