Four student officers and two chapter advisors recently attended the 2025 Phi Theta Kappa Illinois Region Convention and Honors Institute at Parkland College in Champaign.
Pictured are Sierra Krueger, Maggie Kernan, advisor Nicole Banks, Merveille Assiobo-Tipoh and Allyson (Ally) Malm from the Quad-Cities Campus chapter. New PTK advisor Georgjean Pitsoulakis from the East Campus chapter also attended.
The Quad-Cities Campus chapter received a certificate for achieving Three Star Level for 2024 and earned first place for the chapter’s yearbook. The yearbook is on display at the Quad-Cities Campus in Building 1 in the upper lobby at the Welcome Center. Everyone is invited to look through the yearbook to see the different types of activities and projects that the chapter worked on during the year.
Also at the regional convention, Banks was surprised with the Illinois Region Horizon Award for rising advisors who actively engage with student members, help them grow professionally, and contribute to their chapter’s overall success. Banks received her 10-year advisor pin in 2024 and serves on the PTK Regional Advisory Committee for Illinois.
