Hunt the Hawk: East Campus Orientation

Let’s Hunt the Hawk! Join us for an ON-CAMPUS scavenger hunt!

We will equip you with a BHC backpack full of all the necessary supplies to complete the scavenger hunt, rain or shine, even a treat or two to keep your energy up while you hunt!

Friday, Aug. 18 at 10 a.m.

The session starts in the auditorium of Building A where all participants will be given their survival backpacks and learn the rules to the hunt!

To play:

1. Find the seven locations around the campus as indicated on your campus map.
2. Collect handouts and goodies from each location.
3. Once you have visited each location and collected all the handouts and goodies and show us that you took a selfie with your favorite horse in the barn, go back to the start to enter in the drawing to win one of six Amazon $50 gift cards!

Seven locations to find:

1. Library – Library resources provided by the library and chance to sign up for your library cards
2. Enrollment Services – All Enrollment Services Information, FERPA information and parent pamphlets
3. Advising – Financial aid information and connecting you to your assigned advisor
4. Science classrooms and labs – End of Building B hallway – Student clubs and organizations promotion, “Try Something New”
5. Building 1 – The Kitchen (student food pantry) – Promotion for using the food pantry
6. Building 2 – myBlackHawk and Canvas resources
7. Horse stables entrance – Classroom success strategies
