Tutoring labs are in the Student Success Center in Building 1, Room 100 (below the library). Tutoring for science classes is in Building 2, Room 210. Other classes may be available by request.
Schedules are available outside of Room 210 or in the Student Success Center.
Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Walk-in tutoring will be available for math, writing and CS100. If you would like a tutor for another subject area, please come to the Student Success Center and complete a request form. Your request will be accommodated when possible.

Online Tutoring with Tutor.com
Black Hawk Community College is committed to supporting your academic success by offering free online tutoring from Tutor.com. Expert tutors are available 24/7 to help you with math, science, English, and history.
Beginning this semester, students will be asked to create a Tutor.com account using a BHC e-mail address. With this account, you will be eligible for 8 free hours of online tutoring per semester as provided by BHC. A timer on your account page will help you keep track of your remaining hours. If you surpass your time during the semester, please come and see Kari Koster in the Student Success Center, located in Building 1 under the Library.
- You will receive an e-mail from Tutor.com that will help you complete your registration. The e-mail will contain a link to verify your account.
- Once your password is set, your account is active. Return to the welcome page and sign in with your BHC e-mail address and password.
- If you created a Tutor.com account previously with your BHC e-mail address, you do not need to register for a new account. Sign in at the top of the page.
- If you created an account using a personal email address, please create a new account using your BHC e-mail address.
