Black Hawk College could offer select bachelor’s degrees under a proposed state initiative aimed at expanding access to four-year programs. College leaders say the focus would be on high-demand, workforce-driven fields not currently offered by universities, helping fill regional gaps while maintaining existing partnerships.

The goal of Black Hawk College administration is to assure that both faculty and staff have the resources necessary to teach and assist students.

Black Hawk College serves all or part of nine counties in northwestern Illinois with a population of more than 225,000 residents.
