Congratulations to the Braves golf team for winning the 2025 Arrowhead Conference Championship!

“It’s great to get the conference championship win and to have everyone on our roster finish in the Top 10 and earn All-Conference honors,” said head coach Shayne Shepherd.

For BHC alum Shepherd – the current NJCAA Region 4 Coach of the Year – the win is his second conference championship in the four years he has led the Braves. In 2024, the Braves finished 2nd at the Arrowhead Conference Championship.

“Myself, my teammates and Coach Shepherd have been working not just this season, but for the last year to make sure we won conference,” said sophomore Chris Drake.

“What also felt great was having all five of us finish with All-Conference awards,” he said.

The Braves’ individual All-Conference honors were:

  • 2nd – Aidan Dorathy of Port Byron (222)
  • 3rd (tie) – Leo Fiscus of Davenport, IA (225)
  • 5th – Chase Hadley of Rock Island (226)
  • 7th – Chris Drake of Glasford (228)
  • 10th (tie) – Bryson VanHoutte of Geneseo (230)
