Student-athletes honored
Student-athletes from all eight Black Hawk College teams have been named to the Athletic Director’s Academic List for achieving a 3.25 GPA or higher during the Spring 2025 semester.
The 73 student-athletes on the list represent 50% of BHC players. To qualify for the list, student-athletes must be taking at least 12 credit hours.
The baseball team had the highest percentage of players on the list – 70% of the team achieved a 3.25 GPA or higher for the semester.
Next was the softball team with 65%, then men’s soccer with 43% of players on the list.
“This group of students is the epitome of what it is to be a college student-athlete,” said Arnie Chavera, BHC athletic director.
“Their dedication and determination in the classroom is recognized and appreciated,” he said.
The student-athletes are listed by their hometowns. All hometowns are in Illinois unless otherwise noted.
