A Day in the Life – Black Hawk College Student

Discover what college life is really like at A Day in Life – Black Hawk College Student!

Prospective students who plan to start at Black Hawk College and later transfer to a college or university can experience what it’s like to be a college student at the East Campus.

How it works

Students

Students will be paired with a current BHC “student buddy” and attend a class together to get a real feel for college life.

Parents

While students are in class, parents are invited to attend a workshop designed specifically for them. This session will cover what to expect as a college parent, common college terminology, important timelines and ways to support their student during this transition.

Students & parents

Students and parents will be able to speak with student services reps from offices such as Advising, Disability Resources & Access, Dual Credit and Financial Aid.

Application assistance also will be available.

Registration

Please fill out one registration form per student. Parents do not need to register, but are welcome to attend and participate in the parent workshop.
