The goal of this event is to provide a competitive welding contest in a state-of-the-art welding facility that will give your students an opportunity to test their skills. The contest will be conducted by Patrick Ericson, Black Hawk College Welding Program instructor, who has over 30 years of experience in the welding industry and eight years teaching experience.

Schedule: Check-in will be from 8:30-9 a.m. at the Welding and Skilled Trades Center in downtown Kewanee. The contest will start at 9 a.m. and end on or before 1 p.m.
Contest Rules: The contests will be limited to the first 50 students. Schools are encouraged to bring a team or individuals to compete. A team will consist of five members, with the top three individual scores counting toward the overall team score. Awards will be provided to the top three teams and top 10 high overall individuals for each contest.
