BHC Welding Invitational

BHC is excited to announce the 6th Annual T-Joint Fillet Weld Invitational.

The goal of this event is to provide a competitive welding contest in a state-of-the art welding facility that will give your students an opportunity to test their skills. The contest will be conducted by Patrick Ericson, Black Hawk College Welding program instructor, who has more than 30 years of experience in the industry and eight years teaching experience.

IMPORTANT: All participants MUST submit a BHC Photo Release (PDF) and BHC Blanket Waiver (PDF) prior to the contest. Waivers can be emailed to Kelly Craig at before the event or presented upon check-in.

Contest rules: The contests will be limited to the first 50 students. Schools are encouraged to bring a team or individuals to compete. A team will consist of five members, with the top three individual scores counting toward the overall team score. Awards will be provided to the top three teams and top 10 high overall individuals for each contest.
