Many events throughout the year are hosted by Advising for both new and current students. These range from transfer college visit days to one-on-one appointments with admissions reps from select colleges and universities. Nursing students are also invited to attend special academic planning sessions.
NEWStars program for new students
After admission, students attend a New Student Advising and Registration (NewSTARS) to start off on the right foot with their academic plans.
PINS for Nursing Program applicants
Students planning to apply to the Associate Degree Nursing Program or Practical Nursing Certificate Program who are currently enrolled at BHC should attend a Planning and Information for Nursing Students (PINS) meeting. See the events calendar below for more information on these visits.
The meetings provide support, academic planning and an opportunity to network with other students pursuing the same goals. Come to one meeting or all of them! Different information will be discussed at each one. PINS meetings are offered in the fall and spring at the Health Sciences Center.
