Kuder Journey
Kuder Journey is a detailed career assessment that looks at your interests, skills, and values and matches you to the world of work. You can explore careers, majors and find schools that have the programs you want. Contact Career Services at 309-796-5626 to setup an appointment. Allow about an hour to complete this online assessment.

Self-Directed Search
This test looks at your interests, values, and abilities and matches these to careers that have similar characteristics. The test can also be used to match you to potential college majors and other educational opportunities. This paper test takes about 30 minutes to complete.

CAPS/COPS/COPES
The test matches your values, interests, and abilities to 16 career clusters that might be best suited to you. The test also includes a detailed planning guide to help you narrow down your choices after doing additional research. This paper test takes about two hours to complete.

Career Exploration Inventory (CEI)
This test looks at activities you might have done in the past or would like to do in the future to help you narrow down career choices. This paper test takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Work Preference Match
The Work Preference Match assessment looks at your preferences for tasks, work environment, work schedule, supervision, social interaction, compensation, and work culture and enables you to find careers that match your preferences.

The Career Services Center has several assessments available to help individuals with their job search once a career has been chosen. These include the Barriers to Employment Success Inventory and the Job Search Attitude Inventory.
