Learn to take a step beyond the green automatic setting and take control of the creative photo process.  Learn about all the ways to manipulate light using your camera to do more than just record a moment, make the viewer FEEL the moment you captured. Great photographers don’t take photos, they make them!  Join us to find out how to master your camera and stop leaving all your photos up to chance. Bring your camera, owner’s manual and charged batteries to class.  Class will break for one-hour lunch (on your own)

How to Take Better Photos

What makes a good photograph? Learn to improve your photo compositions through the use of balance, repetition, color, and unique framing techniques.  Course content covered will be the use of studio lighting/ natural lighting and portraiture, natural lighting, composition layout, foreground/ background as well as creating mood within your photos. Bring your camera, owner’s manual and charged batteries to class. Class will break for one-hour lunch (on your own).

Lightroom for the Digital Photographer

Instructor: E. Duffy

If you are new to Adobe Lightroom or need to become more familiar with its capabilities, we will explore the Library and develop modules to learn how to import, organize, edit, and export your photos. In addition, you will cover editing photos in Lightroom, to Photoshop, and back to Lightroom. You must bring your own laptop or tablet loaded with Lightroom, a power cord and photo files for editing.
