Program Description

Fork Truck Operator Safety and Driving Training  

This course follows the training requirements for OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.178. The training consists of classroom instruction that covers the content of the OSHA standard, types and characteristics of forklifts, pre-operation inspections, basic driving, stability and load handling, fuels, batteries, and attachments. Driving practice and performance evaluation follows classroom instruction. Site specific training skills would be provided by an employer. A Certificate of Completion is issued at completion of the class. Register early as classes fill quickly.

OSHA 10-Hour for General Industry

Participants will learn the major provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act. New and updated information on the regulations will be discussed. Primary topics include; the inspection and citation process, The new working and walking surfaces, emergency plans and exit routes,  Global Harmonization System (GHS), electrical safety, machine guarding and Updated Illness and Injury Recordkeeping. Other topics can be customized to meet the participants’ needs.

Hazardous Waste Site Operations and Industrial Emergency Response Refresher Training

This HAZMAT Refresher training meets the requirements of both the Hazardous Waste Sites (29 CFR 1910.120 (b-o) and Emergency Chemical Spill Response (29 CFR 1910.120 (q).  This standard is also known as the HAZWOPER standard and is required by a government body whether Federal, state or local involving hazardous substances. Attendees must have documentation they completed previous required training of 40 hour (29 CFR 1910.120 (b-o) or 24
