Job growth expected to be 10% through 2024. (With increasing awareness regarding the benefits of healthy living and fitness, the demand for Personal Trainers continues to grow.)
Prerequisite: Two years exercise experience, two years weight-training experience, familiar with basic weight-training exercises, basic knowledge of muscles and bones, ability to lift arms over head, lift exercise equipment, and assist students with demonstration and lifting of exercise equipment.
You will apply the basic principles of human anatomy, physiology and principles of exercise physiology. Learn how to identify client goals and implement an exercise program for them. Characteristics of wellness and professional and legal practices will be taught. Fee includes materials, student manual, and exam.
Prepare for the accredited NFPT-CPT (National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT) Accredited Board Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) Exam. The final exam (available online) will be available for students to complete following the final class on May 14.
