Basic Spanish                                          

Instructor:  J. Zamora

You will be introduced to Spanish vocabulary and expressions for everyday situations in this fun and interactive introductory course. Practice how to correctly pronounce the language while gaining knowledge of the Hispanic culture. This class would also serve as a great refresher course! Basic Spanish for Health Care          

Instructor: J. Zamora

This class will help those navigating the health care system as a patient or caregiver as well as those employed as health care professionals. Learn to communicate simply and effectively in Spanish to medical staff, patients, and families. Spanish pronunciation, basic vocabulary such as family members, numbers, body parts, times and directions will be covered. Communicate and gather personal information and symptoms regarding a patient with confidence.

American Sign Language (ASL) – Beginning

Learn enough basic signs, finger spelling, and sign language syntax to be able to express and understand simple concepts in American Sign Language (ASL). You will be able to sign a simple conversation/dialog with others. Before the first class, purchase required textbook at www.bhc.edu/bookstore.

American Sign Language (ASL) – Intermediate

Prerequisite: American Sign Language (ASL) – Beginning.

This class is a continuation of American Sign Language (ASL) – Beginning. Expand your sign language vocabulary, improve your communication skills and develop fluency in American Sign Language. Before the first class, purchase required textbook at www.bhc.edu/bookstore. Same textbook as used in the Beginning class.
