Program Description
Based off feedback from local businesses and research, the Black Hawk College Business Training Center is excited to announce a new offering of Industrial Maintenance (IM) Tech Level I. This 12-week short-term certificate program is designed for anyone new to the field or anyone who is interested in a career in IM. This program will introduce you to the concepts and duties of a beginner Industrial Maintenance Tech. No prior experience necessary. The program includes classroom instruction and hands-on training as well as a site visit.

- Math Refresher
- Maintenance Principles
- Equipment Operation Principles
- Electrical Principles
- Electronics and PLCs
- Basics of Mechanical Systems
- Basics of Hydraulic Systems
- Intro to Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning
- Basics of Plumbing
