Introduction to Industrial Maintenance Level I—72 hours

Based off feedback from local businesses and research, the Black Hawk College Business Training Center is excited to announce a NEW offering of Industrial Maintenance (IM) Level I.  This 12-week short-term certificate program is designed for anyone new to the field or anyone who is interested in a career in IM.  This program will introduce you to the concepts and duties of a beginner Industrial Maintenance Tech.  No prior experience necessary. The program includes classroom, hands-on as well as a site visit.

  • Introduction to Safety
  • Math Refresher
  • Maintenance Principles
  • Equipment Operation Principles
  • Electrical Principles
  • Electronics and PLC’s
  • Basics of Mechanical Systems
  • Basics of Hydraulic Systems
  • Intro to Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning
  • Basics of Plumbing

 

Dates: February 18, 2020 to May 7, 2020

Two nights a week / 3 hours per night  Location:  Moline Campus Bldg 1—Balcony Rm B-13 / Shop
