In-person vs. virtual classroom vs. online?

  • An in-person class provides the traditional on-site instruction.
  • A virtual classroom provides real-time, online instruction. A student is responsible for the technology needed to attend the class.
  • An online class provides online instruction but not in real-time. A student is responsible for the technology needed to complete the class.

Professional in Human Resources (PHR)/Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Exam Prep

The PHR demonstrates your mastery of the technical and operational aspects of HR management, including U.S. laws and regulations.

 

Am I eligible to take the PHR Exam?

To be eligible for the PHR, you must meet one of the following conditions for education and experience:

  • Have at least one year of experience in a professional-level HR position + a master’s degree or higher.
  • Have at least two years of experience in a professional-level HR position + a bachelor’s degree.
  • Have at least four years of experience in a professional-level HR position + a high school diploma or equivalent.

 

The SPHR demonstrates your mastery of the strategic and policy-making aspects of HR management as practiced in the United States.

 

Am I eligible to take the SPHR exam?

To be eligible for the SPHR, you must meet one of the following conditions for education and experience:

  • Have at least four years of experience in a professional-level HR position + a master’s degree or global equivalent
  • Have at least five years of experience in a professional-level HR position + a bachelor’s degree or global equivalent
  • Have at least seven years of experience in a professional-level HR position with less than a secondary education.

 

The HRCP materials are included in the cost of the course.

The Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI®) offers the Associate Professional in Human Resources certification (aPHR®), an HR certification designed for professionals who are just beginning their HR career journey. Earning your aPHR credential will allow you to prove your knowledge of the fundamentals of Human Resources and show potential to current employers you have a great foundational knowledge upon which to launch a HR career.

This is the perfect program for professionals looking to advance a current career, recent college graduates, members of the armed services who want to make the transition to a civilian profession, and other individuals seeking a career transition into the HR field.
