Black Hawk College offers Adult Education GED® and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at no cost to students who qualify.

Day and evening GED® and evening ESL classes are available Monday-Thursday at the Community Education Center in Kewanee.

GED® classes meet for three weeks. Students choose from 9 a.m. to noon or 4-6 p.m. classes. Upcoming GED sessions are Feb. 3-20 and Feb. 24-March 13.

ESL classes meet for three weeks from 5-7:30 p.m. Upcoming ESL sessions are Jan. 27-Feb. 13 and Feb. 18-March 6.

Students first must register and take a test to determine their reading levels. All registration and testing must be done in-person and is by appointment only.
