‘Voices of Foster Children’ Roaming Quilts
November 1 - November 22
In May 2017, the Foster Care Alliance launched its “Voices of Foster Children” Roaming Quilts campaign.
Quilt squares were designed by foster children and sewn together by caring individuals who support foster care in the Quad Cities.
Each month the quilts are on display in a different location in the Quad Cities. From Nov. 1-22, the quilts will be on display at the Quad-Cities Campus in Building 1, upper lobby.
The Foster Care Alliance is a new initiative to promote cooperation among foster care agencies in the Illinois Quad Cities. The goal is to recruit, recognize, and support foster families and to nurture and protect children in the child welfare system.
The Foster Care Alliance comprises four agencies: Bethany for Children & Families, the Center for Youth & Family Solutions, the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services, and Lutheran Social Services of Illinois.
