The Communication, Humanities and Languages Department strives to provide students with the resources to complete core course requirements in communication and critical thinking as well as with opportunities to enrich and challenge themselves with electives in such areas as philosophy and foreign languages.

The Communication, Humanities and Languages Department works closely with students to help them strengthen their abilities to communicate clearly in writing and speaking, to think logically, to read critically, to respond intelligently, and to expand their understanding of foreign cultures and languages.
Because of the range of skills developed in this department, BHC alumni go on to not only teach in the community’s school districts, but also work in advertising, marketing, publishing and even pursue careers in law.
A wide variety of clubs cater to many interests and are free to join and take part in. Participating is a great way to enhance your academic experience and meet new friends.
