All participants in the Lifeguard Class must be at least 15 years old. On the first day, you will be expected to swim 300 yards (12 lengths, varying between front crawl and breaststroke), as well as retrieve a diving brick from the deep end using a feet-first surface dive then swim 20 yards with the brick. You must be able to swim with head and eyes in water without goggles. If you cannot complete this, you cannot continue the class.

On the first day, classes will meet in the Aquatic Center in Building 3. We will be in the water. Please having swimsuits and towels each day. We also will meet in Building 3, Room 205 for instruction. Room location will be given at the previous class day. Cost is $195 due Friday, March 30.
On Saturday, April 14 and Saturday, April 21, we will be eating lunch during class. Please plan on bringing a lunch. We have a refrigerator and microwave that can be used.
