Black Hawk College belongs to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 4. The region includes men’s and women’s sports at 28 northern Illinois two-year colleges and three southern Wisconsin two-year colleges.
The new, lighted baseball and softball stadiums feature fully turfed infields, outfields, hitting cages and throwing lanes. Each has concrete dugouts, stadium-style seating and a dedicated press box, sound system and permanent streaming camera. Between the two stadiums are heated restrooms and a heated concession stand. Nearby is the new soccer field with a natural sod playing surface, bleacher seating and its own permanent streaming camera and sound system.

Home events are located at the Athletics Complex near Building 3.
The new indoor athletic facilities will feature a turfed indoor practice area, retractable hitting cages, a golf simulator, hitting bay and undulating putting green, a sports medicine room with three treatment stations and a hydrotherapy whirlpool, and a team meeting area. There are home team and visiting team locker rooms with showers, restrooms and lockers and a game officials’ changing room.
The fitness center will sport two walking/jogging lanes, lock boxes, vending machines and security camera monitoring. It includes a selection of cardio equipment (treadmills, elliptical gliders, recumbent bikes, upright bikes, rowing machines and a stairclimber), a plate-loaded/free weight section, and selectorized strength equipment.
