QC Kickoff Spring 2022

Welcome new and returning Quad-Cities Campus students! You’re invited to QC Kickoff, a free event Jan. 11 and Jan. 13 that introduces new students, returning students and their guests to our campus community.

Please note – This event is available on campus or virtually. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, registration is limited for the in-person session. If you plan to attend this event in person, early registration is recommended.

Tuesday, Jan. 11 | 4:30-6 p.m. | VIRTUAL ONLY

  • 4:30-5 p.m.
    • Welcome | BHC Administration
    • Student Services Panel | Meet Student Services staff members and learn about the resources their department provides.
  • 5-5:30 p.m.
    • How to Navigate Canvas  | Canvas is the software that BHC instructors use to teach online and hybrid classes. Not sure how to use Canvas? Join us for a step-by-step overview on how to use it.
  •  5:30-6 p.m.
    • Faculty/Student Connection Session | Join other students to learn more about academic life from an instructor in your desired major (undecided majors too!). There will be plenty of time to ask questions.

Thursday, Jan. 13 | 10 a.m. to noon | ON CAMPUS ONLY

  • 9:30 a.m.
    • Check-in begins
    • Full campus tours will begin at 10 a.m. Please meet in Building 1, upper lobby to participate in a campus tour.
  • 10-11 a.m.
    • Campus Tour & How to Navigate Canvas | Join BHC student leaders for a full campus tour and join us for a step-by-step overview on how to use Canvas. Canvas is the software that BHC instructors use to teach online and hybrid classes.
  • 11-11:30 a.m.
    • Student Services Panel | Meet Student Services staff members and learn about the resources their department provides.
  • 11:30 a.m. to noon
    • Faculty/Student Connection Session | Join other students to learn more about academic life from an instructor in your desired major (undecided majors too!). There will be plenty of time to ask questions. This session will be in Building 1, Room 308 (theatre).
