Quad-Cities Campus Advising

New Students

Welcome! We’re glad you’ve chosen to become a student at Black Hawk College. Prior to meeting with an advisor, please complete the three easy steps outlined in the New Student Pre-Advising Planner.

New Student Pre-Advising Planner

Current & Returning Students

Advisors are available for virtual or phone appointments! Students are encouraged to meet with advisors to complete a plan for graduation during non-registration periods.

There are three ways you can make an appointment:

  • Online through your myBlackHawk account
  • By calling 309-796-5100
  • By emailing advqc@bhc.edu or a specific advisor listed below

Next, determine how you’d like to work with an Advisor:

  1. By phone/email – we’ll call you!
  2. Zoom (requires computer/internet access as well as a webcam). We’ll set it up!

Advising Events

Advising sponsors many events throughout the year. Please follow our Facebook page and keep an eye on the myBlackHawk announcements. In addition, check your student email account on a regular basis. Advisors will send you information that relates to your specific needs.
