New Student Advising and Registration Sessions (NewSTARS):

New college students will lay their path for success in NewSTARS. Topics include myBlackHawk skills, course load and time commitments, and academic and financial aid policies. Students combine their placement assessment scores with their academic program requirements, register for classes, and receive details on post-registration steps. Students are introduced to advising staff and their potential classmates.
To participate in NewSTARS, begin by selecting a campus
PINS for Nursing Program applicants
Are you planning to apply to the Associate Degree Nursing Program or Practical Nursing Certificate Program and are currently enrolled at BHC? Then you should attend a Planning and Information for Nursing Students (PINS) meeting.
The meetings will provide support, academic planning and an opportunity to network with other students pursuing the same goals. Come to one meeting or all of them! Different information will be discussed at each one. Nan Reddy (firstname.lastname@example.org) and/or Karen Dugan (email@example.com), educational advisors, will facilitate the meetings.
PINS meetings are offered in the fall and spring.
Quad-Cities Campus: All meetings will be in the Health Sciences Center (HSC), Room 204.

Transfer Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Transfer colleges and universities are coming to the Quad-Cities Campus. Start planning your next move!
Admission advisors from Augustana College, St. Ambrose University and Western Illinois University will be in the Quad-Cities Campus First Stop Center to answer your transfer questions and explain admission requirements.
Meetings are by appointment and last 30minutes. To schedule your appointment, contact the First Stop Center at 309-796-5101 or ADVQC@bhc.edu. Please be sure to provide your current phone number and the major that you plan to start at your transfer institution.
Visit with representatives from private and public colleges and universities. See the visit schedule for the Quad-Cities Campus. Representatives will be located in the upper lobby of Building 1.
