Why Medical Assisting

The Medical Assisting program equips students to excel in both clinical and administrative roles under the guidance of healthcare professionals. Students will learn essential skills such as patient intake, conducting routine diagnostic procedures, administering medications, and providing first aid. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics including anatomy, medical terminology, health insurance procedures, pharmacology, and ethical considerations. By completing two clinical courses along with an internship and seminar, students will gain valuable hands-on experience that prepares them for a successful career in the medical field.

Medical Assisting professionals will see increasing opportunities for employment in the light of escalating health care costs. In order to keep operating costs in line, doctors and clinics want trained professionals with skills to provide good patient care and office management to expedite increasing insurance paperwork.
