Why Criminal Justice

The Criminal Justice certificate program is tailored for individuals currently working within the criminal justice system. Many professionals in this field lack formal training, making this program essential for acquiring the fundamental skills needed for their roles. Upon program completion, students are equipped to successfully pass the Illinois Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) and the national Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) exams. For further details, interested students are encouraged to reach out to an advisor or faculty member.

Students interested in a four-year bachelor’s degree should enroll in the Associate in Science degree program and complete suggested coursework in Criminal Justice.
