The Career Technologies Department at the Quad-Cities Campus is comprised of six full-time faculty members. Their educational and professional backgrounds enhance the learning experience for students taking these courses.
The Career Technologies Department offers a number of certificates and career programs. Career programs include: Computer Information Technology (with tracks in IT Support, Application Developer, and Network Administration and Security), Engineering Technology (with tracks in Electrical, Manufacturing, and Mechanical). Tracks allow students to focus their study in a specific area that more appropriately suits their individual interest or employment needs.
Black Hawk College offers many computers specialties you can pursue, that will prepare you for external certifications (such as CISCO’s CCENT, and CCNA and CompTIA’s At, Nt and Securityt).
