Interlibrary Loans

If you need an item that’s not available at Black Hawk College, we encourage you to use the library’s interlibrary loan services.

I-Share — If there is no copy available at the Black Hawk College Library, search in other I-Share libraries:

Click on the Local Catalog Only drop-down, and choose All I-Share Libraries and search.

Click on the title to check location and availability in the book record.

Click Request from I-Share Libraries, you will be prompted to log-in.

  • Enter the barcode number from your BHC Library card (no spaces).
  • Enter the last name on your library card application.
  • Click login, you will return to the book record page

Click Request from I-Share Libraries to request a copy.

  • In the Request This Item pop-up choose your pick-up location.
  • Click Place Request

The book will be sent to the BHC library and you will receive an email when it has arrived.

There is no charge for materials interlibrary loaned within Illinois. Patrons will be charged $1 per item for out-of-state interlibrary loans.
